[the really crappy opening band from the BNL show last November had a "song" that focused on that line. I always figured I'd use it on a post when I didn't have a more interesting title, so there you go!]
It has been pretty low-key up here at the Lake. One kid-hood friend visiting from San Francisco for the first time in about 6 years with girlfriend in tow. Another, my "honorary extra brother" Scott, in from Illinois to visit friend #1. They have kept me up relatively late the last two nights with nickel poker, a PowerPoint slide show of a third friend's recent trip to Ireland, and general chatting and hanging out. They both leave today, so I might get to bed at a reasonable hour tonight, for a change.
I've made it to the beach the last two days. Not much exciting there, although it was pretty great to take a nap on the beach yesterday afternoon. I'm through Harry Potter 2 and have started the Prisoner of Azkaban, which is my favorite of the six already released books. The bee sting hasn't gotten worse, but it doesn't seem to be improving much either. We'll see how it looks on Monday and make a decision about pulling out the "big guns" a.k.a. my prescription from the ER visit on Tuesday.
Dad showed up last night with the knitting bag I forgot, but I'm not sure I'll get to that until the drive home. We have the BYOB Hymn Sing tonight, followed by Trivia Night at the community center. Hey, this place is hopping!
Meanwhile, we finally got a good sunset last night. Here's a pic. Enjoy!
